How to Apply to Saint Mary Academy

Thank you for your interest in Saint Mary Academy.  Now that you have explored our website, we hope that you will visit and see first hand what our school is all about. Following are the steps in our admissions process.

Step 1 – TOUR / INTERVIEW

Every family, including parent and prospective student, must have a personal interview/tour with our Principal or Vice Principal in order to learn more about the student. A classroom observation may be arranged at this time.  Students in grades 3 and up will be strongly encouraged to come and spend a morning in school at SMA. (Student shadow days are currently paused due to COVID protocols.)

Step 2 – APPLICATION

All students must complete the online Admission Application here:  https://sma-nh.client.renweb.com/oa/?memberid=15687  along with a $50.00 Application Fee.

Required documents include:

• Copy of Birth Certificate

• Copy of Baptismal Certificate (Catholics only)

• For Grades 1-8, please also include:

  • Report cards (most current)

  • Standardized test scores (if applicable)

  • IEP or 504 plan (if applicable).

Saint Mary Academy administers the PALS (Phonemic Awareness Literacy Screening) to all students entering Grades Kindergarten and 1.

STEP 3 – ACCEPTANCE

Completed application packages are reviewed and families are notified of their status by email. St. Mary Academy admission is based on academic achievement (or potential), the qualities of each individual applicant, the determination of “fit” of school to child and child to school, and the availability of space at each grade level.

STEP 4 – AFTER ACCEPTANCE

Please complete the FACTS enrollment packet.
